ליעד בן אורי | Liad Ben Uri

Liad Ben Uri is a PhD student in Prof. Ron Milo’s lab at the Weizmann Institute of Science. He holds a bachelor's degree in Physics and Mathematics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem as part of the Talpiot program, and completed his master's degree in Electrical Engineering at the Technion, specializing in Artificial Intelligence. During his military service, he focused on developing advanced technologies for physics-based sensing and implementing artificial intelligence in complex sensor systems—efforts that twice earned the Israel Defense Prize. Subsequently, he managed the Energy Division of the Israeli Air Force, spearheading significant initiatives promoting renewable energy, energy efficiency, and formulating a climate action plan for the IDF. Additionally, he is certified as a tour guide and yoga instructor.
