Prof. Blass's research is positioned at the interface of industrial ecology and management sciences, focusing on decision making and the measurement of economic and environmental performance, using a diverse set of tools and analysis methods. her research agenda spans topics ranging from handling electronic waste and analyzing managerial decision-making processes relating to environmental impacts, switching to new business models that bring to decoupling of economic growth from environmental impacts, to assessing energy alternatives for transportation in Israel.

Prof. Blass engages with colleagues and institutions at different levels in the industry, government and the academic community both inland and abroad to promote her research and professional agendas.

She is currently involved in collaborative research with scholars from multiple universities in the U.S., Europe, and Brazil, playing an active role in initiating and promoting joint projects in the different research groups in which she takes part.  Prof. Blass's expertise has been recognized and funded by different institutions, e.g. the Marie Curie IRG program, Israeli Energy and Water Ministry, Israeli Environmental Protection Ministry, Israeli Ministry of Science and Innovation, the Israeli Innovation Authority, European Commission FP7 program, ISF, private donors, etc. Since she joined TAU, she personally raised more than 12 million shekels for her own research group and participated in multiple international projects involving variety of partners.

She is a guest senior research scholar with IIASA since 2017 and the co-founder of the Israeli Archimedes center for Applied System Analysis.  

Professor Anat Tchetchik is an environmental economist and a senior faculty member at Bar-Ilan University, where she serves as Head of the Environmental Management and Innovation track in the Department of Environment, Planning, and Sustainability. Her research focuses on the development and application of methodological tools for understanding consumer preferences and decision-making processes, with particular emphasis on pro-environmental behavior and the valuation of environmental goods and services. Her work integrates advanced econometric methods, including revealed and stated preference approaches, to examine motivations, barriers, and economic equilibrium conditions within environmental systems. Her research has been published in leading scientific journals, and she has been awarded competitive research grants from national and international funding bodies, including the European Science Foundation, the Israel Science Foundation, and Israeli government ministries.

Lee Gafter is an expert in quantitative modelling, specializing in the development and application of advanced quantitative methodologies for the analysis of human behavior, individual and public preferences, and latent phenomena. Her research interests include psychometrics, dimensionality reduction and statistical machine learning techniques, quasi-parametric estimation methods, Discrete Choice Experiments, and hierarchical and multi-population models. She is involved in applied and theoretical interdisciplinary research in the fields of environmental and natural resource management, and serves as a methodological and statistical advisor to competitive research grants funded by Horizon Europe, the ERC, and the Israel Science Foundation, providing analytical infrastructure for research, policy, and planning.
